Yoga Therapy

NEW! to Bodywise

Yoga Therapy for Emotional Healing understands that when a person is struggling to find well-being, the mind and body are jointly affected. Therefore it is important to treat both the psychological and physiological aspects of depression, anxiety, and stress in order to support the complete person. Through yoga therapy it is possible to use the energy of the mind and body in a process of mutual cure. By combining yoga postures, breathing exercises and mindfulness a person is able to re-balance the body creating new neurological pathways that support health, while calming the nervous system, and creating self-awareness of thoughts and habits that lead to suffering. Through this integrated approach clients are able to open to feelings of discomfort in a safe setting while also learning how to create joy. At the same time the natural high that comes from practising yoga helps to make the journey towards emotional health a little bit softer. Each session is tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual. Students will learn techniques that can be practised at home and will be able to build cumulatively towards well-being.
